1. Preliminary
The preliminary round is the first stage to select the participants who will participate in ISCE 2023 that will be held on the 23th – 25th of October 2023. Each team will be tested about basic knowledge of Statistics. The top 16 teams will be selected to compete in the elimination (semifinals) round based on the result of this stage.
2. Elimination
The elimination round or semifinals will be divided into two stages. The first stage is the betting stage and the second stage is the quiz contest. All of the stages will be held online on the 22th of November 2023. Participants are required to have good logical and analytical thinking and also have good communication skills to solve given problems. The best 5 teams that pass these stages will compete in the final stage.
3. Final
Final round will be held online on the 23th of November 2023. In the Final round, each Grand Finalist will be given a case study that has to be solved by the regarding team in the stated time period. The solution has to be presented to the judges that are fully capable in handle the case. Each team will use a set of computer hardware that has Statistics software installed to help teams processing the data.
The data will be given with the request system. The data could be bought by each team by giving up some number of points given for each team. Each data has different points worth. The finalists also need to make a presentation of their solution. The time given for each presentation is 15 minutes followed by the Q&A session for 25 minutes. The order of presentation will be drawn on the final day.
